1 Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo Ravenna was the capital of the Western Roman Empire. and an important port of entry for the Eastern (Byzantine) Empire, it reflects in its art and architecture a fusion of Roman architectural forms with Byzantine mosaics and other decorations.                           

2 The tomb of Dante and the Quadrarco of Braccioforte. The great poet Dante Alighieri was struck and fell in love with Ravenna and spent the last period of his life here. With undisturbed peace, here he finished his masterpiece, the Divina Commedia,                                                                           

3 Basilica of San Vitale Ravenna is the only site in Italy where you can admire Byzantine art and architecture. Its highest expression is the Church of San Vitale, built in marble and covered by a terracotta dome, you can admire exceptional mosaics depicting the Old and New Testaments.

4 Mausoleum of Galla Placidia the oldest building in Ravenna built in the 5th century, the entire upper surface of the interior of the mausoleum is covered with mosaics.

5 Basilica di Sant'Apollinare in Classe Sant'Apollinare in Classe has been described as the most impressive Basilica of the early Christian period, and has retained its original splendour. It is now admired for its beautiful polychrome apsidal mosaics and ancient marble sarcophagi of archbishops, arranged along the side aisles.

6 The Mausoleum of Teodorico Entirely made of Istrian stone, it was built by Teodorico in 520 AD, as his burial place.
