Siena: it is one of the most beautiful city in Italy, it is a hidden gem of medieval glory in the Tuscan region. Rich in history of architecture, art and culture, in 1995 its historic center was included by UNESCO in the World Heritage Site. Many are the things to visit such as Piazza del Campo, the Palazzo Pubblico with inside the Civic Museum, the Torre del Mangia and the Cathedral with the Opera Museum, the Baptistery and the National Art Gallery. Piazza del Campo is the social heart of the city and to appreciate the mesmerising view from above you have to climb the Torre del Mangia, which is one of the highest in Italy with its 102 meters. Fun fact: Siena is home to the oldest bank in the world, the city also boasts some green areas of great value. The Botanical Garden, for example, has a peculiarity: it is the only one of its kind terraced in Italy.

San Gimignano: One of the most characteristic villages in Tuscany, San Gimignano is known for its towers. In the Middle Ages the city was located on one of the roads of the Via Francigena. The name San Gimignano would be a derivation from that of the holy bishop of Modena, who would have defended the village from the occupation of Attila. Palazzo Salvucci is famous for the two towers, also called “Twin Towers”. This family, among the most powerful in the city, built two towers with a massive and imposing appearance. Initially they rose to the sky to exceed the height of 51 meters of the Rognosa Tower, another city landmark of the time. To prevent the buildings from expanding upwards, a 1255 law expressly forbade them to exceed that height, so the towers were lowered.

Pisa: continues to attract tourists from all over the world to admire the legendary leaning tower. The spell that allows her to remain in balance between the cathedral and the baptistery makes all visitors remain with their mouths open. Everyone wonders how that colossus of marble so fragile and so elegant can still stand. A magic worth seeing with your own eyes. But it is not the only place to see.
