VENEZIA,SOAVE AND VERONA

 Arrival in Venice and hotel accomodation. We will spend the afternoon in the city centre with a visit to "San Marco Square" and a tour in "Gondola". An historic introduction will enable you to discover the history of the "Palazzo Ducale", once the centre of the power of the "Republic of Venice", and the "Basilica D'Oro", the "Cathedral". At a short distance from "San Marco Square", right in front of the famous "Hard Rock Caffe", "Gondolas" will begin the tour through small channels such as the "Rio dei Barcaroli" where you will see "Mozart's" home, and the "Rio dell'Ovo", to the "Canal Grande" where you will admire, on the right, the magnificence of the "Ponte di Rialto", and also, important buildings like "Cá Farsetti", the premises of the "City Hall" and the "Grimani Palace" the largest building on the "Canal Grande" home of the "Court of Appeal". The tour continues to "Rio San Luca" where you can see "Palazzo Manin", the residence of the last "Doge" in Venice, "Ludovico Manin", now the headquarters of the "Banca d'Italia" in Venice. Only in this way you will be able to live fully the true atmosphere in this marvellous city, the noise of the water, the passage under the bridges, returning to the past, when the "Venetians", in the ancient tradition, used only oar's boats. 

Leaving the hotel with a private boat we'll sail to "Murano" island. We will enjoy the marvellous views of the lagoon, during the boat tour. Our guide on board, will give you a number of information on the islands, which we will then visit. When we arrive in "Murano", the island of glass, we will enter a to furnace where we will see a demonstration and you will be able to know the techniques that have been used for over eight centuries. Later, we will be sailing to "Torcello", the oldest island of the"Venetian" lagoon, a peace oasis where a pleasant and authentic atmosphere breathe, and which in its most splendour moments was even more populated than"Venice" itself. You will see the "Trono di Attila" and the "Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta", which embraces one of the most appreciated "Bizantini" mosaics in the "Veneto" region. P We will have lunch at a restaurant where you will have the opportunity to combine the best dishes of the "Veneto" gastronomy. After lunch, we'll be going to "Burano" one of the most fascinating places in the lagoon, famous for the "Merletti" and the coloured homes. The legend says, that it was the fishermen of the island, who made the facades of their homes into bright colours, in order to recognise them in the foggy days. We will take you to see the "Merletti" shops where you can see the processing and have some shopping. We will return to our hotel, by boat, through the lagoon, and passing the famous island of "San Francesco del Deserto" known for the convent of the "Francescani" frates, and the island of "San Erasmo", the orth of "Venice".

Pick up at the hotel, and travel to "Soave", to visit one of the most famous wine cellars in the area. More than 32 hectars of land situated in the "Soave" and "Valpolicella" area, "Monte Tenda", Monte Foscarino" and "Monte Tondo", from which the "holding" is named, constitute the starting point for the labour and passion of the wine-growing family of "Magnabosco". The "Monte Tondo" agricultural company, organises guided visits and wine-tasting in "Soave", a path to the rediscovery of a traditions and to know the wine as it used to be.
